Each aspect is fundamental to the inherent quality of the ventilated facade. The structure upon which the facade products are fixed and the coverings themselves must be carefully studied based upon structural norms taking into consideration fixed and dynamic forces resulting from the action of the relevant wind loads. A key characteristic of aluminium is its ability to be extruded, which allows the production of complex shapes, making it possible to design mechanisims ideal for the fixing of the facade panels; inlcuding the use of neoprene packing, helping hand brackets to suit the elevation design, all developed with precise millimetric tollerance simplifying the installation process. The precise geometric shapes and tollerances ensure there is no play between the structural components and ensure a secure and reliable system. Other advantages of aluminium include; • Lightweight structure resulting in insignificant loads on the building structure • Ease of handling and transportation • Ability to manufacture the extruded items to size, reducing waste, cost and limiting environmental concerns • Aluminium is entirely re-useable and can be re-cycled • The use of simple and cost effective on-site machinery to tailor the materials to cater for unforseen project requirements • Speed of installation based upon the inherent simplicty and tollerances of the materials. |
