Natural materials available to the designer The Grescovering tiles are produced from an extrusion process using the latest manufacturing technology. The tiles are formed from natural materials, such as minerals, kaolin, feldspar and clay that make up 99% of the mass, while natural pigments produce a variety of aesthetic effects. The tiles are then fired at temperatures above 1200°C. This process ensures the tiles have excellent mechanical resistance, almost zero porosity and are resistant to freezing and thermal shock. Grescovering has been developed by an experienced team of Italian specialists with over 30 years experience in facade engineering and the production of high quality porcelain stoneware or ceramic granite as it is sometimes known. These through bodied products can be fired with an infinite range of colours and tones providing outstanding choice for the architect, designer and client. ‘Made in Italy’ is an important brand statement, synonomous with quality and design in every sector. An important advantage, due to nature of the material and the production equipment, enables architects and designers to specify shapes and formats outside of the standard production range subject to minimum quantities. IMOCO and its international partners are equipped to provide specific design and technical services to ensure our clients an easy and efficient project development process.
